One Torah For All

One Torah shall be to him that is home-born, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.
Exodus 12:49

Journey Into The Wilderness
Choosing the wise, difficult, and unpopular path

Devarim (Deuteronomy) 30:19
“I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you, life and death, the blessing and the curse; therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your seed.”

Every person every day makes choices, many of those choices, whether a person realizes it or not, involves choosing life or death. Our heavenly Father desires for us to choose life. However, in order to choose life, one must be able to see clearly the choice before him as well as its consequences.

Gilyana (Revelation) 18:4
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come forth, my people, out of her, that you have no fellowship with her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.”

The reality is that one can participate in Babylon or remove himself from Babylon. Choosing to participate in Babylon is a choice for death. Everything that is not of His kingdom is Babylon.

Yochanan Aleph (1st John) 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

The Babylonian system is the antithesis of the kingdom of heaven. One must spiritually walk away from the system found in the world to be a living part of His kingdom. This will entail certain choices that one must make along his journey. One must choose to walk into the wilderness. This is not an easy path, nor is it the path of least resistance. Many will not understand these choices, nor why anyone would willingly walk such a road. However, it is altogether necessary.

Matithyah (Matthew) 6:24
“No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. You cannot serve Elohim and money.”

The word “money” here is both literal as well as figurative. In the figurative sense, it relates to serving the world or the systems of the world. Certainly one needs to have money to exist in this world, but it must not be the driving force of why one makes the choices he makes. Pursuing money just for the sake of money or to climb the ladder of success is not what His kingdom is about.

Yirmeyah (Jeremiah) 51:45
“My people, you go out of the midst of her, and save yourselves every man from the fierce anger of YHWH.”

The word “her” above in context is referring to “Babylon.” Our heavenly Father wants to save you out of the midst of Babylon. However, He expects you to make choices which show that you want to be saved out of that evil system. One cannot choose to participate in her sins and not suffer loss in His kingdom (see Revelation 18:4 for further information).

We are all born into this world and are governed by its system. However, that does not mean one has to continue to be a part of the system. He can make choices to be a part of His kingdom. Once one does that even though he is still in the world, he is not of the world. That is, he remains in the world as a witness to our Creator and Redeemer that others may see Him because of our good works and life. However, once redeemed, if one continues to make choices of death, that is, chooses to participate in the sins of Babylon and her life, it damages his witness. Everything one does and everything one says should point to our Redeemer. If it does not, then a wrong choice has been made and needs to be corrected.

Ya’aqov (James) 4:4
You adulteresses, do you not know that the friendship of the world is enmity with Elohim? Whosoever therefore would be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of Elohim.

This is serious.

This is a matter of life and death.

Choose life.

YHWH desires for you to choose life. However, only you can make that choice. He will not make it for you. Whatever you choose, He will respect that choice, even if it is the wrong one.

Choose wisely.

Your life is but a vapor and then is gone. Do not wait until tomorrow, for tomorrow is not guaranteed to any man.

The world is clamoring for your attention and your time. It makes a lot of noise about a lot of things in order to take your attention off of those things that matter in His kingdom. The leaders of the world come and go, but He remains.

Matithyah (Matthew) 7:24-27
24 “Everyone therefore that hears these words of mine, and does them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock;
25 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and if fell not; for it was founded upon the rock.
26 And everyone that hears these words of mine, and does them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand;
27 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and smote upon that house; and it fell; and great was the fall thereof.”

Before Yeshua began His public ministry, the Spirit led Him into the wilderness. He chose to follow. YHWH wants to lead you into the wilderness. Are you willing to follow His lead? Know this, that choice is a matter of life or death.

It will not be easy to be in the wilderness. But in order to separate you from the world, it is necessary.

May YHWH grant you the wisdom to see this choice between life and death as clearly as He sees it.
